Privacy Policy
What we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and what you can ask us to do about it. Section 4 covers the research use confirmations, which are the one record on this site that exists mainly to protect both of us.
Version 1.0 · Effective 24 October 2026 · Peptique retains every version of this document and will provide the version that was in force on the date of any order on request.
1. Who we are
This policy explains what [LEGAL ENTITY NAME], trading as Peptique, does with personal information collected through this Site. Contact details are in section 13.
2. What we collect
Order information. Name, shipping address, email address, phone number where you give one, order contents and order history.
Research use confirmations. The two confirmations you give, at the researcher verification gate and at checkout. Each record holds the date and time, the statements shown to you word for word, the version identifier of those statements, the researcher type and research field you selected, a reference number, and the page you were on. Section 4 explains why.
Payment information. Handled by our payment provider. Card numbers never reach this Site and we never see or store them. We receive a confirmation that a payment succeeded, the method type and the last four digits.
Contact information you give us. Email addresses submitted for restock alerts, the research list or the welcome code, and anything you write to support.
Technical information. IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed and referring page, collected by our hosting and analytics providers.
Local storage on your device. Your cart, your gate confirmation and whether you have seen the offer modal are stored in your browser's local storage, not on our servers. Section 6 covers this.
3. How we use it
To take, verify, fulfil and support your orders, to run subscriptions, to handle returns and refunds, and to contact you about an order.
To meet our legal obligations, including keeping sales and eligibility records, and to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
To detect and prevent fraud, abuse and misuse of the Site.
To send the research list and restock alerts, where you asked for them, and to run and measure advertising.
To improve the Site and understand how it is used.
4. Research use confirmations, and why we keep them
A Research Use Only notice printed on a page is a statement that the rest of the page can contradict. A confirmation a named buyer actively gave, against wording we can produce, is evidence. We keep that evidence for every order, and it protects both of us: it records what you were told and what you agreed, and it records that we asked.
These records are kept with the order for as long as the law requires us to keep sales records, and are disclosed only to you, to our professional advisers, to a successor in a business transfer, or where a law, regulator or lawful order requires it.
5. How we share it
Service providers who work for us and only on our instructions: payment processing, hosting, order fulfilment and shipping, email delivery, analytics and customer support tooling.
Carriers, who receive the name and address needed to deliver.
Professional advisers, including lawyers and accountants, under a duty of confidence.
Authorities, where a law, regulation, subpoena or lawful order requires it, or to protect our rights, property or safety or those of others.
A successor, in a merger, acquisition, reorganisation or sale of assets, subject to this policy.
We do not sell personal information for money. Where advertising or analytics technologies on this Site amount to sharing personal information for cross context behavioural advertising under California law, section 9 tells you how to opt out.
6. Cookies, local storage and similar technologies
Peptique uses your browser's local storage to keep your cart, your research use confirmation and a flag for whether the offer modal has been shown. That data stays on your device, is not transmitted to us, and is cleared when you clear site data. It is used to run the Site, not to track you across other sites.
Our hosting, analytics and advertising providers may set cookies or similar identifiers. You can refuse or delete cookies in your browser settings. Essential storage cannot be refused without breaking the cart and the research use gate.
7. Advertising and analytics
We may advertise on third party platforms and measure how those campaigns perform. Those platforms may set their own identifiers and may combine what they collect here with what they hold about you from elsewhere, under their own policies.
Advertising for this catalog is directed only at a research audience and never presents Materials as suitable for human or veterinary use.
8. How long we keep it
Order records, including the research use confirmations attached to them, are kept for as long as the law requires us to keep sales and tax records, and for as long as a claim could reasonably be brought.
Marketing contact details are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. Technical logs are kept for a short operational period and then deleted or aggregated.
9. Your choices and your rights
Everyone. You can unsubscribe from any marketing email using the link in it or by writing to us. You can ask us to correct information that is wrong.
California residents. Under the CCPA as amended by the CPRA, you may request to know the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected, the sources, the purposes and the categories of recipients; request deletion; request correction; and opt out of any sale or sharing for cross context behavioural advertising. You may also limit the use of sensitive personal information, although we do not use personal information for the purposes that right covers. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.
How to exercise them. Write to us at the address or email in section 13 with enough detail to identify your records. We will verify your identity against the information we hold before acting, and will respond within the time the law allows. An authorised agent may act for you with written proof.
Other states and countries. If you live somewhere that grants similar rights, write to us and we will honour them on the same basis.
10. Security
We use technical and organisational measures appropriate to the risk, including encrypted transport, access controls and a payment provider that keeps card data off this Site entirely. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Children
This Site is not directed to anyone under twenty one, and nobody under twenty one may buy from it or give us personal information. If we learn we hold information from someone under twenty one, we will delete it. If you believe a child has given us information, write to us.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The version number and effective date at the top change with it, we keep every prior version, and we will provide one on request. Material changes will be notified on the Site before they take effect.
